Are creative writing tutors even worth it?

I’m going to level with you here. Most blogs are just word salads trying to get google to come to their website.

But I’m writing this because I want you to read this and get some value out of it. Human to human. For free, sure, I don’t mind. You can exit whenever you want. Drift off on to another million tabs open and other video content with 3 cool tricks to lower your blood pressure or whatever Serena Williams is eating for breakfast that you MUST try.

In a world grappling with the coming wave of AI in many industries, the argument can easily be put forwards that a human’s ability to write is becoming less important. Why learn to write when you can just tell an AI to do it for you?

Writing is what makes us human

In the future world of work, your child’s ability to write and construct genuine sentences that reflect their unique personality is going to give them an edge. Children can usually connect this within themselves intuitively. But if everyone else is relying on AI to pump out their sales pitches and slide decks, imagine how a clear, authentic voice will ring out and cut through the noise?

Sure, let AI take over lots of stuff that we don’t want to do. I’ve got no truck with that. But the more AI can reliably produce average content, the bigger the premium placed on above average content. Written content. By your child, who will, sooner than you like, be an adult.

A good tutor knows this

Combining the knowledge of the craft of writing with an ability to pass it on through careful and kind facilitation is what we at Inkhead are all about. Over the years since 2006, Louise Pearce, our founder, has grown the company to encompass all needs of writing for children in London and more recently internationally online. Her expertise has given the company its foundation and our current roster of tutors reflect this desire to infuse a playful love of words for simply the sake of showing off your dexterity in the language to producing tried and tested methods for helping a reluctant writer or a blank page panicker. There’ll be no blank page-panicking here!

A blank page, a pen and a kind guide

So yes, more so than ever, a child’s ability to articulate and express themselves through writing, particularly through their pen, is vital. Our tutors can help your son or daughter along their journey to becoming the well-rounded citizens of tomorrow. It starts with a blank page, a pen and a kind guide to take them forth.
