From there, our team adapts each session to suit their pace, personality, and learning style.

One of our greatest strengths is our teaching team.

All of our tutors are writers themselves, as well as experienced educators. This means your child benefits not only from expert teaching, but from guidance rooted in real creative practice.

Our tutors understand how writing works from the inside out: how ideas are generated, how voice develops, how confidence grows, and how to turn technical skill into compelling expression.

Pricing

We believe in being transparent about pricing, while still offering a highly specialist and carefully tailored service.

From 1 January 2026, we are required to charge VAT at the standard rate on all private tuition services.

Our tuition fees currently start from:

• £70 per hour (incl. VAT) for in-person one-to-one private tuition

• £60 per hour (incl. VAT) for online one-to-one tuition

For online sessions, we are able to reduce the fee by removing tutor travel time and costs, while maintaining the same highly personalised teaching approach.

We take great care in recommending the right tutor for your child, based on their personality, learning profile, and your goals for tuition.

If helpful, we also offer a free Zoom taster session with the recommended tutor before you commit to further paid sessions, so you can feel confident that the match is right.

Specialist tuition with our Director

We also have a select number of online one-to-one tuition slots available with our Director, John, a highly specialist teacher with exceptional expertise in helping children grow in confidence, skill, and creative depth as writers.

These online sessions are priced at £75 + VAT per hour.
